The 52-year-old artiste performed songs from the album, titled Junior Reid: The Living Legend, to a full house.

A number of musicians turned out for the launch including bass players and longtime collaborators, Andrew 'Bassie' Campbell and Errol 'Flabba Holt' Carter.

Among the artistes there were Johnny Osbourne and Capleton who gave outstanding performances.

'The Living Legend' contains 20 songs with the pop-flavoured Love You Back its lead song.

Reid, who has successfully teamed with hip hop acts like The Game and M.I.M.S. In the last 10 years, said the goal is to appeal to a broad audience.

"Wi have Love You Back, Dancehall City an' This Generation fi the youths an' Same Boat fi the original roots man dem. This album cover everything," he said.

Junior Reid: The Living Legend is Reid's first studio album since 2003's Rasta Government. It is released by his JR Productions.

He is scheduled to perform in Paris on September 26 and 27.
