Webby Jay Biography

Webby Jay is a talented keyboard player, he is remembered for his part in the successful band Matumbi, stretching beyond twenty years of numerous singles and countless albums. This award winning bubbler of the old school was voted best reggae keyboard player of the year in 1978 and went on to win an award from the black music magazine Black Echoes for his talent.

He toured and played with acts like Linton Kwesi Johnson, Toots & Maytals, Peter Tosh, Sly & Robbie, Edwin Starr, Ian Drury and the Blockheads and Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac- just to name a few.
