The 2014 Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise (WTJRC) hosted by Damian Marley set sail from Miami to Jamaica aboard the Norwegian Pearl Cruise Liner on October 21, 2014. Selling out over a year in advance, the cruise made history with its one of a kind itinerary featuring non-stop popular Reggae entertainment throughout the five-day journey.
Nearly 2400 passengers traveling from 42 countries enjoyed performances by a top billing of Reggae and Dancehall artists that included Black Am I, Julian Marley, Damian Marley, Wailing Souls, Tarrus Riley, Shaggy, Etana, Busy Signal, Jah Cure, Bounty Killer, Wayne Marshall, Cham, Sean Paul, Christopher Ellis, Morgan Heritage, Jo Mersa, and Stephen Marley. Numerous world-famous Sound Systems including Mighty Crown, David Rodigan, Kingston 12 Hi Fi (featuring Shinehead & Papalotl), Renaissance Disco, and Stone Love were on deck to keep the Reggae party going all night long in various nightclubs aboard the ship.
Music was not the only adventure as Port of Call stops in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios allowed passengers to experience the beauty of Jamaica first hand, many for the first time! Overall, the inaugural voyage of the Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise was a truly magical and memorable experience uniting Reggae lovers from all over the world.
