The launch of the Blue Mountain Music Festival (BMMF) was held in Half Way Tree, Kingston, Jamaica on Monday, January 26th. The second staging of the event is scheduled to take place February 21st - 22nd. The event organisers, reggae group TOK, announced that while pleased with the activities of last year, they plan to do better this year. They have already signed some of the country’s best artistes including Freddie McGregor, Chino, Tarrus Riley, Rootz Underground, Canadian singer Kreesha Turner, Mystic Revealers, Duane Stephenson with plans to include many more. The BMMF is set to become a standard event on the entertainment calendar during Reggae Month which is held annually in February in Kingston, Jamaica.
