After an eclectic opening set by local band cvDUB, fusing reggae, dub and jazz, Richie Spice humbly strode on to the stage. Quiet and soft-spoken off stage, his lyrical passion and love of being on stage immediately endear him to the crowd, who press closer, ready for the cultural/spiritual upliftment. His song Free fully embodies his mission. Nelson Mandela said, “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others”. Richie lives that and shares that.
The show would not have been complete without Marijuana, always a huge favorite among Northern Californians. Give thanks to the band and lovely back up singers.
