Aba Shanti I in Bologna
Aba Shanti I played in Italy on January 19th.
Fire night just passed in Bologna. In the historical location of Sottotetto, dub and roots addicted came together in a show to remember. Legendary Aba Shanti I at controls for a five hours “one man show.
A no-stop night where selecta has proved his charism, and his ability to involve the public, that came from all Italy. Tunes as Rootsman, Seek Jah First, Get Up Chant Rise and Shine create an extraordinary atmosphere that will be remembered for a long time in Bologna.
The show success was also due to 48 Roots Sound System, who warmed up the massive before Aba Shanti I, with their roots and conscious selection full of positive messages, selecting best 70's and 80's reggae music.
It’s 6 in the morning when Mr Aba closed the show with tune Victory, but nobody seems want to leave the place. And it was just one victorious night, to triumph the own Aba Shanti I, but also the wonderful audience and the music selected. A victory for Bologna and all the reggae and dub people addicted!
