Simma Stew Productions aim is world domination

A lot of great reggae music coming from France these days, both from bands and individual producers and labels.

One of the latest on the scene is Simma Stew Production. This brand new label is run by Xema who has just presented his debut riddim release with Serial P as sound engineer – World Domination. And you have to love a riddim with an aim like that. Especially when it’s voiced by a bunch of talented singers and deejays – Cutty Ranks, Gramps Morgan and Red Fox are three who aim to rule the world.

World Domination riddim“I’ve been a huge reggae and dancehall fan for a long, long time now. I started listening reggae and dancehall music around 1992 and I have always been interested in the production side. As a producer I’m influenced by Willie Lindo from Heavy Beat Records and Lloyd Campbell from Joe Fraser Records,” says Xema.

It was a few years ago he started to dream about a label and doing his own productions. He builds his riddims at home in his own tiny studio.

“I set up the cornerstone, lay down my ideas and then go to a real studio with the right engineer and musicians,” explains Xema, and continues:

“The artists featured on this riddim are some of my favorite ones and I knew from the beginning that they could fit perfectly on this riddim, for example Cutty, Chrisinti and Red Fox,” he says, and concludes:

“At the end of the day you have the World Domination riddim. In the future my goal is to be able to release at least one riddim a year as I’ve work on the side. I try to save a little money to bring my passion to fruition, because I love making good productions and sharing musical vibes with artists and musicians.”

The World Domination riddim is now available on digital platforms.
