A new 7" from Rootikal Attack Records
The most Peruvian of French Dubbers, Mr Zebre is back in stores with Anthem ! A Dub released on 7 "vinyl by the quality label: Rootical Attack Records.
Based in Lima for several years, it is in the Peruvian capital that Thibault Quinon aka Mr Zebre continues to be a strong activist of Dub Music.
Indeed, it is his enthusiasm and his many connections that are the force behind the « Dub Lima » parties which have hosted Mad Professor, Zion Train, Aba Shanti I, Iration Steppas, Mungo's Hifi and LFO alongside local artists such as Rafael Otero (Dub Seen), Jaime Leon Lima Sound System or King Cholo Sound System and of course Mr Zebre himself!
After the album "Dub In The Way" and many dubplates, Mr Zebre back in the bins with a vinyl 7" built for turntables of Sound Systems!
The title Anthem is the kind of Dubs that defines Dub Steppa! A warrior with a good rhythm well supported by the kick, skanking keyboards to make you groove, choirs, an intoxicating synthetic brass, and especially low frequency deep bass, that reminds you that you don't hear the dub, you live it !
On the B side of this 7" is a more powerful version of the Spiritual Warrior Dub with 'Anthem Ruff'. Mr Zebre will make you step again and again on the trail of the dancefloor!
