The first edition of Dub Camp Festival took place for the first time from July 4th to 6th.
It was the second festival in France dedicated entirely to the sound system culture after the Dub Fest in 2013.
For this first time, the association Get Up prepared a huge line up with most of the headliners of the sound system culture in Europe.
It's not really useful to quote the whole list as it is really long but here are few of them:
Aba Shanti I, King Earthquake, Blackboard Jungle, King Shiloh, OBF, Word Sound & Power, Iration Steppas, Massai Warrior. Most of them came with their own sound system.
Three marquees were set up, welcoming each, one, two or three sound system.
It is important to salute the performance of the organizers who had to install no less than 13 sound systems during those 3 days. In fact, between the end of a festival night (5 a.m) and the start of a new festival day (2 p.m), every sound system was changed. Most artists could thus play on their own material. The organizers deserve special notice for this. The festival goers, of which were many, were enthusiastic despite the incessant rain that fell throughout the duration of the festival.
The second edition has already been announced. It will be held from July 10th to 12th, 2015. The association Get Up promised to do better for this second Dub Camp Festival, which will not be easy as the first edition was of high quality.
