The beginning of RJR’s Kingston Music Week got off to a great start with the first event, ‘RE TV Unplugged’ which was held at the Countryside Club.
The event showcased the acoustic side of the performers. Edna Manley College graduate Mackeenhan, was the first to grace the stage. He was followed by Voice Mail who turned in a great performance and continuously paid homage to their fallen member O’Neil throughout their set. Next up was D’Major and along with guest performer Christopher Martin and comedian Ice Man took the attentive audience to another level.
The show was closed by Duane Stephenson who delivered hits such as August Town, Ghetto Pain and his rendition of Cottage in Negril. The night was a wonderful start to what is expected to be a week of musical activities.
