Beres Hammond and the Harmony House Band has performed in almost every Caribbean island, with Cuba being a notable exception. He really would prefer to perform in each island at least once per year, but if scheduling prevents this, he tries to make once in two years his worst case scenario. Unfortunately for Antigua, it was almost ten (10) years since they had last seen the Reggae Superstar. After taking a hiatus from the island, Beres Hammond and the Harmony House gave the island a treat with their performance at the Music is Life Reggae Festival, held on the Stanford Cricket Ground on Valentine’s Day.
The stadium was full to its capacity as more than 15,000 patrons turned out to see him and other Jamaican acts such as Alaine and Richie Spice. The local talent billed for the show also attracted their own fan base. The venue remained filled to the end of the concert which came to an end in the wee hours of Sunday morning. This was a testament to the quality of the performances throughout the night. It was also an event well executed by the organizers, Lava International Sound Company.
