Reggae Month came to a fitting close on Saturday, February 28th with the staging of the JaRIA 2015 Awards. At the event, which was held at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston, JaRIA recognized twenty one (21) persons for their contribution to the music industry. This included Vincent and Pat Chin for VP Records' contribution to the music industry and Harris Seaton for his contributions as a songwriter. Several musicians such as Ronnie & Michael McDonald, Fil Callender, Mikey Chung, artistes such as Jah Bouks, Ras Michael, Kabaka Pyramid and media personnel turned out to show their support to the event.
Tributes through performances were also given to Hopeton Lewis and John Holt who both passed away last year. Among those who performed on the night were Cherine Anderson, Gramps Morgan, Nature and several students of the Edna Manley College of Arts.
