The February 10th staging of JaRIA Tuesdays Live was held at the Ranny Williams Complex. This edition was dubbed ‘Ladies Night’. In keeping with the event name, the intention was clearly to highlight some of the strong female talent currently emerging in Jamaica. Among those who graced the stage were upcoming cultural singer Moesha, and singer Mary Isaacs, known for her hit, A Little Bit of Heaven. Singer and model Lady Genius created an immediate impact with the audience as soon as she hit the stage. She delighted the crowd with a few cover songs Hurt & Broken, Stay, and her current single Suitcase. Ruach and Brina, two fast rising talents were well received by the audience. Brina, known for her soulfulness reinforced this image when she did songs like Heri Pahali in Swahili, Real Reggae Music and Seeds of Freedom. Brina, was performing on home soil for the first time since migrating to the UK, and did not disappoint her fans. Tasha T, known as one of the top female reggae artiste out of Canada also put in a strong performance and made it evident why she has received several awards in her home country of Canada. The night was closed off by the all female band Adahzeh. They dazzled the crowd with their singing, dance moves and constant interaction with the audience. Among those who were in attendance to lend their support was Cherine Anderson. The event turned out to be one of the strongest Tuesday nights for JaRIA Tuesday Live and was a great indication of some of the female artiste for us to look out for.
