On Thursday, June 11th Third World launched their brand new single Yim Mas Gan (Let Him be Praised) and the corresponding video at the Triple Century Sports Bar in Kingston. The song which was originally done by The Abyssinians was a massive hit back in the 70’s and is set to be revived by one of the most consistent reggae groups.
The event attracted several of the bands friends, media personalities and fans who have followed them over their illustrious career. Among those who were present to participate in the celebration were Tony Rebel; Cindy Breakspeare; former Ms. Jamaica World and mother of Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley who produced the track for Third World; Manager, Copeland Forbes and bass player Lloyd Parks. The video was directed by noted local video director, Ras Kassa.
