Reggae Sumfest, Friday Night was billed as ‘Show Time’. As is the norm, it featured a mixture of local and international acts. The night started well with Reggae Band Raging Fyah. Being recognized as one of the reggae bands whose immense talent and popularity is on the rise.
They made the best of the limited time allotted to them, and performed hits such as Judgment Day & Running Away. Next up was Keznamdi, with his siblings screaming their support for him in in the crowd he delivered a tight set and was joined by his sister Kelissa on stage. Their welcome was an indication of their growing popularity, fan base and appreciation for their consistent style. Fresh from their European and US Tour both Jesse Royal and Kabaka Pyramid delivered their usual high energy performance. Jesse Royal delivered hits like ‘Modern Day Judas’, ‘Gimme Likkle’ and the ‘Hotter the Battle’. The two American acts billed for the evening Common and TI also gave a good account of themselves. Reggae Sumfest Showtime was brought to a closure by reggae veteran Cocoa Tea.
