CHANGE
Lets say you were colour blind
With no concept of colour in your mind
Would you still draw the colour line?
If ones’ voice speaks truth
Utters words you can’t refute
Would you still consider him a brute?
If he possessed the ability to lead
Gave you hope in which to believe
If he can effect change
With a strong will to engage
Then why are you colour scared?
On the lips of young Americans
Is the name of the man who could/would be president
But it is evident that a problem exists
He is obviously not the purist
But he comes with an eclectic mix
Of emotions, intellect, manipulative rhetoric
And the question is,
Is America ready to embrace this change?
Some might think he’s a bit derange
Some find it quite strange
That a Blackman would dare try
To lead the land of the free
Where our forefathers suffered the horrors of slavery
Where brave men will continue
To re-write the pages of His-Story
Why can’t we just embrace humanity?
And banish the concept of racist ideologies
If we all have a colour problem
Lets say we’re all colour blind
With no concept of colour in our minds
Now close your eyes
What colour do you see?
