After working with France’s Flash Hit Records on We Kill Sound and Cool It Down, veteran Jamaican singer Derrick Parker returns with an eight track EP working with the same team.
Returns Pon Top features seven previously unreleased cuts and Derrick Parker is in a murderous mode delivering only digital scorching clash tunes.
It kicks off in fine style with the short and sing-a-long friendly Intro Champion, a sweet, yet seductively lethal, chant – “we are the champion in the dance tonight, we are the champion taking all sound boy life, you won’t forget this night when we lock your sound up, we are the champion, and we rule dancehall”. Boom. Straight to sound boys chest.
And from there and then the war is on leaving sound boys and rude boys wishing Derrick Parker was on their side.
