The Martians Are Coming! Dubwise Poetry from Haji Mike & Kingdom Signal.

Sampler

With Greensleeves recently reissuing five classic dub albums mixed by the formidable Scientist, including ‘Space Invaders’, it is now time for us to face ‘The Martians’, an independent release from Haji Mike & Kingdom Signal.

The MartiansKingdom Signal aka Paul ‘Gibsy’ Gibbs who has been a stalwart on the underground scene for many years, with the multifaceted SpringlineJamaica, is now focusing on producing his own dub rhythms which he has been laying down over the last couple of years drawing influence from many of the dub greats like the aforementioned Scientist.

Haji Mike is a professor of philosophy at Nicosia University in Cyprus. He lived in UK for nearly 30 years which explains his definite London accent and he's been writing and performing his poetry onto dub music for over twenty years.

Work is on-going on an album which it is hoped will see light of day by the end of the year with Martians being touted as the first single taken from it and is available now to download from all usual outlets.
