The biennial chartity concert by Shaggy.

This year’s staging of The Shaggy & Friends Concert was recently held on the lawns of Jamaica House, Kingston. As usual, the turnout was an indication that the tickets were practically all successfully sold-out. The patrons came to see the performances from artistes such as Third World, Wyclef Jean, Capleton, Aidonia and Barrington Levy. No doubt international artistes such as, Doug E Fresh, Wyclef Jean and Sting attracted their own loyal fan base.

Performances started promptly at 8pm with Shaggy delivering the opening act. In uniform style, one artiste after another left their indomitable mark on a very receptive crowd. Patrons could be seeing singing and dancing the night away as they watched and often sang along to the songs of their favorite artistes.

The event is held every two years in aid of the Bustamante Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital in the English speaking Caribbean. They will certainly benefit from the philanthropy of Shaggy, his friends and the numerous supporters.
