Reggae Sumfest 2018 hosted Irish & Chin’s World Clash 20th Anniversary.

Thousands of patrons turned up at Pier 1 to witness the 20th anniversary of The World Clash which was held on July 19, 2018 in Montego Bay.  Among the sound systems competing where Ricky 'Sound' Trooper, Pink Panther, Tony Matterhorn and Mighty Crown from Japan.

After each round, the crowd voted on which Sound System would advance to the next round. In the final should segment it was Mighty Crown versus Tony Matterhorn, with the sound from the Far East emerging victorious. The selection used by Mighty Crown to seal Tony Matterhorn’s musical fate was Done Dead Already by Scion Sashay Success done in the seventies on the ‘burial’ rhythm. The small Japanese contingent in the crowd erupted in jubilation when they realized that the Sound System representing their country was declared the winner.
