The fourth staging of Tarrus Riley and Friends was recently held on December 23rd at the Emancipation Park in Kingston. For the past three years Tarrus Riley and his Blak Soil Band has committed to putting on a free concert. This they consider as one of the ways to give back to the community and their local fans.
This year, the pattern of excellence continued and give back they did. With over thirty artists performing the crowd was treated to over six hours of music. The performances were from every genre of the musical fraternity and included a tribute to John Holt by Lloyd Parks & We The People Band and a tribute to Bunny Rugs by Third World. Patrons were treated to performances by top acts such as Sean Paul, Shaggy, Beenie Man, Ninja Man, Richie Spice, Sizzla, Cherine Anderson and several others. At the end of it all patrons could easily have gone home saying that they have seen one of the best concerts over the Christmas holiday. Much Thanks to Tarrus Riley, Blak Soil Crew and Juke Boxx Records.
