Gideon Gottfried is a journalist born in Germany and currently residing in London. He’s been editor for musikmarkt, the trade magazine for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, for five years and still loves to cover music industry topics – preferably anything concerning digital. He also writes for the blog of Swiss digital aggregator iMusician Digital, amongst others.

Last year, together with friends, he founded the Munich based independent record label Crispy Crust Records, of which he is editor in chief. He is passionate about music of all genres and a rapper himself (check out soundcloud.com/bigeazie for more).

Above all, he is an activist, working as a journalist for Munich based non-profit and independent media network acTVism Munich. He sincerely believes that we need to change our ways to change the world, which is also what his brand new website gideongottfried.com is all about.
