Born in 1983 Michael Grein discovered his passion for photography in 2004 when he was working in Togo, West Africa, for one year.
Interested in cultural differences he started with street and documentary photographies.
While travelling through West African and South American countries in the following years he developed his skills in this domain.

Back in Europe Michael focused more and more on live music photography, starting with Reggae music where he made his first real contacts in Africa and later in Paris where he lived to study Sociology, Ethnology and Politics.

Nowadays Michael is a freelance photographer living in Germany specialized in concert photography.
He takes pictures all over Europe for several international culture and music magazines.
