"I really want to say to you that the Government will be announcing, at the highest level, a declaration of February as Reggae Month," Grange said. "And it will be announced and presented in a manner that will impact not only in Jamaica but across the world."

In addition to concerts, which will be held across the island, Jamaica will celebrate the birth of Bob Marley with the Africa Unite - Smile Jamaica 2008. The first Reggae Film Festival will be scheduled from the 20th to 22th. And finally the Reggae Academy Awards ceremony will be held on the 24th.
