Jimmy Cliff Scores Second Grammy

Jimmy Cliff won the Grammy for Best Reggae album of 2012.

Jimmy Cliff - RebirthLast night 64 year old reggae icon Jimmy Cliff won his second Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album with the acclaimed 'Rebirth', a set included in United Reggae’s favorite albums in 2012 and produced by longtime reggae aficionado Tim Armstrong, singer and guitarist in punk rock band Rancid.

This was Jimmy Cliff’s seventh nomination and this time he was up against The Original WailersMiracle, Sean Paul’s Tomahawk Technique, Sly & Robbie & The Jam MastersNew Legend and Toots Hibbert’s Reggae Got Soul: Unplugged on Strawberry Hill.
