Last year Belgian festival Reggae Geel broke all previous records in terms of attendance and for this year’s 35th edition a few changes to improve overall vibes, safety and comfort have been made. The changes have led to a complete redesign of the festival ground and aim to decrease sound interference between the different stages and to optimize the accessibility.

Several performers have also already been announced. Capleton, Ken Boothe, Freddie McGregor, Protoje and Romain Virgo host the main stage. Mad Professor, African Head Charge Sound System and Aba-Shanti-I are some of the names playing in the 18 Inch Corner.

The Bounce Dancehall will be run by Exco Levi, Konshens and Killamanjaro, among others and the Skaville is hosted by Prince Fatty, Dennis Alcapone and London-based top-dj Gaz Mayall.

A new stage is also introduced – The Yard! This is the place to do interviews, listen to debates, take part of workshops and dance courses. This is the place to catch some of the hottest up and coming talents, including Black Marshall, Racine Congo and Chantelle  Ernandez.

Reggae Geel’s 35th edition takes place on August 2-3 at Zandstraat/Malosewaver in Geel,  Belgium. Presale started on May 20.
