New release on London Label.

Poirier with long-time collaborator Face-T on vocals has just released a new cut on London label NICE UP! Records titled ‘Why’.

Poirier and Face T - WhyHaving released music on labels such as Ninja Tune, Mixpak and Man Recordings amongst many more, global music specialists Poirier has this time stripped things right back to basics for this heavy, pulsing 808 driven bass beat that treads a fine line between electronica and dancehall against the stark and questioning vocal.

With influences ranging from tropical, soca and dancehall to afro and electro Poirier's gamut appears to run deep and with a full album due for the label coming later in the year that will hopefully showcase his varied and innovative style.
