Mini-documentary about Jamaican's vinyl history.

Even though the Jamaican music industry is alive and kicking – and pretty strong at the moment thanks to the so-called reggae revival in the influx of dancehall in popular music – its record industry has been declining for many years.

British journalist Vivien Goldman has documented the Jamaican record industry in a new short-documentary and it's not a pretty sight. She has spoken to a number of industry people to find out more about why the record business is in a hopeless decline.

But vinyl is on the rise and U.S. pressing plan SunPress Vinyl has signed a partnership with Tuff Gong International to start manufacturing vinyl in Jamaica again.
