Sista Irie has been a radio producer and program host since 1989 at 88.7 FM KAZI in Austin, Texas. KAZI focuses on the African American community and features the roots of black music through the education as well as entertainment. Sista Irie hosts "The Conscious Party" every other Sunday from 2-5 CST in an effort to promote the serious societal messages of reggae music. She is also a photojournalist, shooting many of reggae's best known stageshows within the United States and Jamaica. Sista Irie is married to Rastafarian elder, Brother Ricky, and enjoys a home both in Westmoreland, Jamaica and Austin, Texas.
