Duke Vin was a Jamaican who relocated to the UK in 1954, where he soon set up the first local sound system. He brought with him a distinctive Jamaican sound and helped to establish reggae and sound system culture in the UK.
He died in London, UK, on Saturday November 3. One of his latest interviews was with Australian film maker Gus Berger, who produced and directed the documentary 'Duke Vin and the Birth of Ska'.
