Dub Of NavaroneSweet T and The Section a band from Glasgow, Scotland formed in 2003, has decided to help the Jamaican Alpha Boys’ School, which had played an historical role in the development of Jamaica's musical identity. This school formed legendary musicians of The Skatalites as Don Drummond, Tommy Mc Cook, Johnny ‘Dizzy’ Moore and Lester Sterling, but also Rico Rodriguez, Cedric Brooks and Bobby Ellis to name a few.

Sweet T and the Section producers, Larry Primrose and Sweet T, big fans of The Alpha Boys’ School work decided to invite trumpeter Kevin Batchelor and Ken Stewart, members of The Skatalites to play on new versions of Dimitri Tomkine's Guns of Navarone to financially help the school.

The result is two great tracks titled Dubs of Navarone vol. 1 and vol. 2 as a thank you to the school and help to keep its future safe. Both songs are available for download on iTunes now and will be on all other digital download sites soon. Note that fifty percents of the net profits of these tracks goes to the Alpha Boys’ School. United Reggae is proud to promote this great initiative and invite you to listen to these tunes. Feel free to buy them by following these links :
