This year sees the 17th edition of the Reggae Sun Ska Festival taking place over the weekend of July 31st to August 3rd, six kilometres outside Bordeaux in south France.
The Reggae Sun Ska Festival is one of the oldest in France and one of the biggest in Europe. This year they have invited several veterans on stage – Bunny Wailer, U-Roy, Clinton Fearon and the Natty Will Fly Again project, bringing together roots luminaries Pablo Moses, Winston Jarrett and Ashanti Roy from The Congos.
“The elders will make you dream again,” states the press release.
But it’s not only veterans performing at this picturesque festival close to the ocean. You can also catch Patrice, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Shaggy, Raging Fyah, Randy Valentine, Gappy Ranks, Protoje, Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, Daniel Bambaata Marley and Busy Signal, among many more.
