Run for Cover is the first single from Jamaican singer Diana Rutherford's upcoming album Better Days, a set produced by Romain “Sherkhan” Chiffre and slated for release at the end of 2015. Run for Cover raises the question about child abuse. The video is in black and white and has a dramatic feel to it.
“With the assistance of the Ashe Performing Arts Company we added a bit of theatrical drama to the mix, a reflection of Diana's theatrical background. Diana hopes this video will be to your delight despite the sensitive issue that the song is about,” explains Sherkhan.
Run for Cover will be included on Diana Rutherford’s new album Better Days, which was recorded with all instruments live in the studio, something that’s rather unusual today.
"What we love in music is this ‘dirty sound’, so why go looking for this clean sound, it makes no sense! So I said let's do it the old way, let's put aside the ProTools way of working. Let's make human mistakes and make a genuine recording full of vibes,” said Sherkhan in an interview with United Reggae earlier this year.
