In 2010 UK-based producer Frenchie – producer and owner of Maximum Sound – launched a new label to release only hard roots and steppers in collaboration with Russ D. The label – Calabash – has so far put out singles and a compilation called Calabash Selection Vol. 1. Now a follow-up is well on its way.

Calabash Selection Vol. 2 and Calabash Dub Vol. 2 will hit the streets on October 30. All tracks are played and remixed by Russ D & The Disciples at his Backyard Studios.

Some of the tracks have been put out on limited edition vinyl, but most mixes will be different from the singles. A couple of the riddims are also different compared to the originals.
