Jahmali, one of the finest voices of modern roots reggae scene is back with his forthcoming album, One More Step. Produced by Jahjas and Maka Lox for French label Rootcat Records, mixed by Shane Brown at Tuff Gong and Big Yard Studios, Jahmali’s third album will be available in 2009.
Musicwise, it features Jamaican legends as Leroy ‘Horsemouth’ Wallace, Deleon ‘Jubba’ White and Strickland ‘Stone’ Stone, Dean Fraser, Sticky and Paul ‘Wrongmove’ Crossdale. The title of this forthcoming album is pretty clear, it is One More Step in Jahmali’s carrer.
After his great debut album El Shaddai (1998) and Treasure Box (2000), the cultural singer is coming with a new set in the same vein : conscious and full of rootsy productions, including one combination with Junior Kelly. Awaiting for more info, we suggest you to listen to I Need A Girl and How Thankful Am I, the two first singles issued from this upcoming release.
