In order to recognize and celebrate local and international Reggae music communities work, National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston Jamaica will host the first Reggae Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday February 24th.

This event is a project of the Recording Industry Association of Jamaica/RIAJam which is made up of just over thirty music companies doing business inside Jamaica and internationally. Several artists - as Shaggy, Sean Paul, Morgan Heritage, Elephant Man - have been invited to appear as performers and award presenters of the show. The Reggae Academy is also looking for various overseas based artists as Gentleman out of Germany, Sean Kingston and Collie Buddz.
