The mammoth event of the year has to be the Rototom Sunsplash Festival that stretches over an incredible 10 days form the 18th August up until the 27th August and is returning for a second year to Benicassim, located on the coast between Valencia and Barcelona in Spain.

The main stage line-up reads like a who’s who of reggae, past and present and with this year being the 30^th anniversary since Bob Marley’s passing will feature son Stephen Marley opening night of Thursday 18^th with more of his offspring appearing in the shape of Ky-mani and Ziggy Marley along with wife, and mother to both Ziggy and Stephen Rita Marley on Tuesday 23^rd. The rest of the main stage Line-up is as follows:

Thursday 18^th: Mr. Vegas, Toots & the Maytals, Stephen Marley.
Friday 19^th: Shaggy, Dub Inc.
Saturday 20^th: Inner Circle, Jimmy Cliff, Roberto Sanchez & Lone Ark feat. Alpheus.
Sunday 21^st: Maxi Priest, Richie Spice.
Monday 22^nd: Luciano, Linton Kwesi Johnson.
Tuesday 23^rd: Rita Marley, Ziggy Marley, Ky-mani Marley.
Wednesday 24^th: Sud Sound System, Ojos de Brujo, Capleton.
Thursday 25^th: Burro Banton, Ali Campbell (UB40), Lutan Fyah, Perfect, Giddimani House of Riddim.
Friday 26^th: Bunny Wailer, Brigadier Jerry, Ken Boothe
Saturday 27^th: Horace Andy, Gyptian, Johnny Clarke, Michael Prophet, Chezidek

There is also a Dub Station that will feature the likes of Bush Chemists, Adrian Sherwood, Jah Observer, Channel One, O.B.F., Aba Shanti, Iration Steppas ft. Maki Banton & YT, Stand High Patrol ft. Pupa Jim, Blackboard Jungle, King Alpha, and Dubkasm ft. Solo Banton, plus a Ska Club with DJ 1-TA Raw & 3rd Ball.
