Jamaican producer, engineer and musician Ossie Hibbert died of a heart attack on July 2. He is probably best known for being the producer behind Dillinger’s monster 70’s hit Cocaine in My Brain.
Ossie Hibbert was also a key session musician and part of The Professionals, The Aggrovators and The Revolutionaries. For more than 30 years he played piano, keyboard and organ on a vast number of familiar tracks by world-renowned singers such as Delroy Wilson, Johnny Clarke and John Holt.

RIP Ossie...was nice to have met you and share laughs about the business. (We met at Glen Adam's studio in Brooklyn and at the hospital when Glen was ill). My sympathy to his family. |
