One year ago, Horace Andy released his great Livin' It Up album with French producer Guillaume Bougard and legendary duo Sly and Robbie. While they were making this album, Gregory Isaacs passed by Harry J's studio to say hi. He listened to one of the riddims and offered to voice it. The result is the beautiful Poor Man In Love mixed by Godwin Logie, which will be released on Call A Taxi, the upcoming compilation from Sly and Robbie's Taxi records, out this year. More details coming soon…

I ain't gonna lie. This track should not - under any circumstances - be released. It does Gregory no justice what-so-ever! A lot of the words cannot be understood. I have seen the video and thought it was just a 'lets kill some time' ting...no disrespect... |

You before don´t understand anything, this is so beutiful. A genius that complete his idea of what good music is. It´s all about, timing, composion and understanding what´s enough. I would like more out there should understand that. I have never in my life heard anyone than Gregory understand it in that way he does. there are few but no one than Gregory. Superb! |

Mr Puss obviously has pus in his ears. Gregory used to love Guillaume Bougard and would come visit him everytime he was in town to voice tracks for him. Lyrics are easy to understand, interesting and catchy. What more do you want? |

Gregory did not reach that level of singing anymore after 83.. It all went backwards from then. Even Sly and Robbie can not make up for Gregory's poor singing here.. |
