For those who didn't know yet the Rebel Salute, the event is one of the biggest Jamaican reggae festival managed by Tony Rebel, gathering plenty of conscious artists from the old school to the new generation. The 2008 edition took place in late January, in Port Kaiser’s Sport Club, St Elisabeth in Jamaica and is now available on DVD.
It features four volumes including the New Generation (Jah Cure, Tarrus Riley, Queen Ifrica or Etana to name a few), the Foundation (Edi Fitzroy, Errol Dunkley, Jimmy Riley or George Nooks), the Singers (Luciano, Mikey General, Richie Spice, Ini Kamoze, I Wayne or Aaron Silk) and the Dancehall (Capleton, Tony Rebel, Sugar Minott, Junior Reid, Lutan Fyah or Louie Culture). Out now on Island Ent/Ruff Neck.
