HELP Jamaica! Nominated for the IRAWMA Award

By Karl Pearson on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 - 2 comments

Recognition for German based charity.

HELP Jamaica! has been nominated for the ‘Special Community Service Award 2009’ by International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA), and is the only non-Jamaican project up for this big award.

This registered, non-profit organization, based in Germany is strongly supported by us at United Reggae and we have championed their efforts as they help with the building of libraries and education centers within the needy communities of Jamaica. They have also given financial support to the Trenchtown Reading Centre (TRC), which they have used as a role model to base themselves on.

Other great charitable projects to receive nominations are fronted by international stars like Usain Bolt, Shaggy, Capleton and Queen Ifrica.

The full list for Category 31st - Community Service Award nominations is
Capleton “A St. Mary Mi Come From”- (Jamaica)
Queen Ifrica (Jamaica)
HELP Jamaica! (Germany)
Usain Bolt (Jamaica)
Shaggy and Friends- Save a Life (Jamaica)
