On June 12th, 2010 Frederic Apcar Productions are to present Reggae In The Desert, Las Vegas’ largest Reggae festival, at Clark County Amphitheatre, 500 South Grand Central Parkway. With the event being advertised as "showcasing both the unifying power of Reggae music & the Caribbean lifestyle".
On the line up at the moment are some of Jamaica's most legendary performers Barrington Levy, Sly & Robbie, Marcia Griffiths and Eek-A-Mouse, along with local acts the Puls 'R' Band, Haleamano and fellow Americans Mystic Roots, with their original style based in reggae, hip-hop, and dancehall, with overtones of rock, funk, and ska. In between these performances, throughout the day, sounds are being supplied by Dj Ramma.
To compliment the music there will also be many vendors selling Caribbean island style arts and crafts, along with great flavours of the Caribbean Islands from their onsite food court.
Proceedings start at 2 pm and continue until 10 pm, with the whole day being a family affair as it is open to all ages.
